The Process Control in Next-Generation Sewing Machines: A Project Overview Helder Carvalho1, Ana Rocha1, João L.Monteiro2 1Dep.TextileEngineering, 2Dep.Industrial Electronics, University of Minho, Guimarães, Portugal SYNOPSIS The sewing machine created in the XIX century has roughly remained unchanged in its basic technologies. Although a great range of mechanical and electronic technologies has boosted its development enormously, the process of sewing itself, however, although perfected in many aspects, has remained uncontrolled. Many of the phenomena occurring at high-speed sewing (up to 10000 stitches per minute) are still not properly understood. https://ushaembroiderysewingmachine.blogspot.com/2021/02/sewing-machine-showroom-in-velachery-vs.html

This project is creating a deeper insight into the sewing process, identifying and describing the variables that can be monitored and/or controlled in a way that ensures a better control of this production process. Some monitoring and control algorithms are already under test. Concurrently the project develops software support tools to allow the up-front engineering of the process, resulting in control parameters to be downloaded to the machine controllers. The software would also serve as a support tool for the textile manufacturer, to tune and improve materials’ properties and define the relationship between materials and optimum sewing conditions. https://vsembroiderysewingmachine.weebly.com/blog/sewing-machine-showroom-in-nanganallur-vs-sewing-machine

In addition to general cleaning, three areas need special attention: the handwheel bearing and the clutch assem-bly, the needle bar and presser foot, and the hook and bobbin area assemblies. When the handwheel assembly gets gummy and dirty, it must be cleaned for the clutch to work properly. The clutch disengages the needle bar when winding a bobbin. Some newer sewing machines refill the bobbin in its regular position and a clutch is not necessary. In such machines, it is often not necessary to remove the hand-wheel to clean this area. https://vsembroiderysewingmachine.weebly.com/blog/sewing-machine-showroom-in-pallikaranai-vs-sewing-machine

Cotton Thread is readily available in wide range of colors and is suitable for light to medium weight cotton, rayon and linen fabrics. Avoid using glazed or waxed quilting threads on the sewing machine as the finish will wear off and can cause serious tension problems. Cotton thread is without stretch and is usually mercerized, a finishing process that gives strength makes it smooth, lustrous, gives better affinity for dye and colorfastness. https://vsembroiderysewingmachine.weebly.com/blog/sewing-machine-showroom-in-adyar-vs-sewing-machine

Polyester Thread is made from 100% polyester and is suitable for most of the sewing process. It provides strength and elasticity for sewing on fabrics made of synthetic, natural or blended fibers. The all-purpose polyester thread is great for knit, stretch and permanent press fabrics because of its stretch and recovery and its non-shrinkage. Most polyester threads have wax or silicone finish helping them slip through the fabric with a minimum of friction. https://www.plurk.com/p/o8lmic

‘Sewability’ of thread is a term used to describe a sewing thread’s performance. A thread with good sewability is uniform in diameter with a good surface finish. Longitudinal uniformity of thread contributes to uniform strength and reduced friction, as it passes through the stitch forming mechanisms. It also minimises thread breakages and the associated costs incurred from rethreading machines, repairing stitches and producing inferior quality products. https://vssewingmachines.home.blog/2021/02/23/clothes-mean-nothing-until-someone-lives-in-them-gemsy-sg8802e-industrial-sewing-machine/

Sewing machines generally require basic maintenance of cleaning, oiling, and lubricating. These procedures are covered in the use and care booklet that comes with the machine. It is the best reference for the specific care required by your machine. Some machines are designed to be oil- and lubricant-free, so follow the directions in your booklet carefully. https://ushaembroiderysewingmachine.blogspot.com/2021/02/sewing-machine-showroom-in-anna-nagar.html

If you do not have an instruction booklet for your sewing machine, contact your local sewing machine cen-ter to obtain one. If they do not have one in stock, write to the manufacturer of the machine to obtain one or go online to download and print a copy. Be sure to have handy the machine name, model, serial number, and approximate age of the machine. https://ushaembroiderysewingmachine.blogspot.com/2021/02/sewing-machine-showroom-in-nungambakkam.html

Clothes mean nothing until someone lives in them. GEMSY – SG8802E Industrial Sewing Machine

GEMSY – SG8802E Industrial Sewing Machine – VS Sewing Machine

A sewing machine is, obviously enough, “a machine that sews,” but if you think about those words literally, it can help you figure out how it works. Let’s say we had a big construction set with standard, snap-together, engineering components in it; which bits would we need to make a sewing machine? The answer is surprisingly few.

Although you can still find the odd hand-powered sewing machine (and you can operate any machine slowly by hand if you want to for slow, precision work), virtually all modern sewing machines are electric: they’re built around quite hefty electric motors (roughly the same size as the ones you find in vacuum cleaners and lawn mowers). Pushing a tiny little needle up and down through multiple layers of thick fabric is hard work; and lifting and feeding the fabric takes effort as well. If you’ve ever sewn something like a pair of curtains, you’ll know it can be quite exhausting turning and moving the fabric, but a sewing machine helps you do that job as well. Sewing Machine Showroom in Guindy

The beating “heart” of a sewing machine is the electric motor, which is hidden inside the main stem of the machine usually quite near to the place where you plug in the power cord. The motor drives three separate mechanisms that are very carefully timed to cooperate with one another. Two of them, a mixture of cams and cranks, operate the feed dog, that little set of teeth that pop up and down just beneath the needle and the presser foot (which holds the material in place); one pushes upward against the material (to grip it) and the other moves it forward by an adjustable amount (to make stitches of varying length). It’s actually a rather neat double-act: one of these mechanisms makes the feed dog go up and down, while the other slides it back and forth. Meanwhile, another crankshaft driven by the motor makes the needle rise up and down, while the fourth and final mechanism turns the shuttle and hook attached to it that makes the stitches. The final look of any garment or article depends on how the different components are attached together by sewing. Any variation in sewing leads to a defective material. Thus, sewing must be done with caution. Sewing can be broadly classified in two categories—hand sewing and machine sewing. Hand sewing may be used for temporary purposes or sometimes, it may be used for some special purposes like hemming, buttonhole making, blanket stitch, etc. Here in this session, our main focus is on the sewing machine. The basic thought behind sewing machines is to mechanically stitch two or more pieces of material—mainly fabric, together using thread and a needle. Sewing machines reduce the amount of manual sewing in preparing a garment or any other article. Sewing machines help the operator in getting the work done quicker, with greater accuracy and much more consistently. Sewing Machine Showroom in AshokNagar

The sewing machine device was invented in 1790 by English inventor, Thomas Saint, but he could not advertise his invention. He designed a wooden awl to make holes in leather and canvas, thus allowing a needle and single piece of thread through to hook underneath, and forming locked chain stitches. Josef Madersperger began developing the sewing machine in 1807 and he presented the working machine in 1814. view details

Before the invention of a useable machine for sewing, everything was sewn by hand. Many early efforts tried to replicate this hand sewing method but were mostly a failure. Machines might seem boring and mundane things—dirty and noisy and full of fuss—but just trying imagining life without them. Take sewing machines, for example. Without those tireless, automatic cloth stitchers, thumping their needles up and down all day long, you wouldn’t have all those fancy clothes in your wardrobe, and the ones you did have wouldn’t be anything like as decorative or cheap. Modern fashions and textiles can be fabulously arty and creative, but they depend on surprisingly humdrum bits of engineering: electric motors; cranks and cams; wheels, gears and levers—the kind of clanking metal bits and bobs more at home inside a car! So why does a sewing machine need all this stuff inside it? Let’s take a closer look! Sewing Machine Showroom in Tiruvottiyur

Remember when you first learned to sew with a needle and a length of cotton thread? The technique you used back then (and you probably still use it for simple hand repairs) is called running stitch. Suppose you want to join two pieces of flat material together. You thread a needle with a length of cotton (maybe doubling it up for strength), press the two pieces of material together, then simply push the needle through them so it takes the cotton with it. You pull the needle right through, move it along the material a little bit to form a stitch, then push it back through the material in the opposite direction, leaving some of the thread (the stitch) behind. In this kind of hand sewing, you use a single thread, and the stitches form alternately on the upper and lower sides of the material. view details

I spent a long time thinking about how best to illustrate the inner mechanisms of a sewing machine and looking at quite a few artworks other people have struggled to draw. So many moving parts are packed into such a small space that it can be difficult to figure out which bit is doing what. The more accurate the drawing, often the harder it is to understand, and I think it’s actually clearer to look at the key mechanisms separately. These diagrams are simplifications that give you a general idea of what’s happening; they’re not absolutely faithful to what’s happening and they don’t show what’s going on inside any specific machine.
The electric motor rests at the bottom at the opposite end of the machine from the needle. Using a pulley arrangement, it drives the large handwheel at the top (the wheel you can turn to stitch slowly and carefully), which is shown red in these diagrams, and the main powershaft (gray). Let’s look at the three key mechanisms in turn. Sewing Machine Showroom in Purasawalkam

Sewing is the craft of fastening or attaching objects using stitches made with a needle and thread. Sewing is one of the oldest of the textile arts, arising in the Paleolithic era. Before the invention of spinning yarn or weaving fabric, archaeologists believe Stone Age people across Europe and Asia sewed fur and skin clothing using bone, antler or ivory needles and “thread” made of various animal body parts including sinew, catgut, and veins. For thousands of years, all sewing was done by hand. Now it is down by sewing machine. The invention of the sewing machine in the 19th century and the rise of computerization in the 20th century led to mass production and export of sewn objects, but hand sewing is still practiced around the world.Fine hand sewing is a characteristic of high-quality tailoring, haute couture fashion, and custom dressmaking, and is pursued by both textile artists and hobbyists as a means of creative expression. A sewing machine makes the task of sewing heavy fabric an easy one. This is important if you have a sewing business because accuracy and timeliness are very important. Sewing machines make use of double thread that makes the stitches stronger and durable. If done by hand, it can strain both your eyes and hands. more details

Industrial sewing machines, by contrast to domestic machines, are larger, faster, and more varied in their size, cost, appearance, and task. A sewing machine is used to stitch the fabric and other pliable materials together with threads. Sewing machines were invented during the first Industrial Revolution to decrease the quantum of manual sewing done in garment industries. Since its invention, it has greatly improved the efficiency and productivity of the fabric, garment and needle industries.

Sewing machine, any of various machines for stitching material (such as cloth or leather), usually having a needle and shuttle to carry thread and powered by treadle, waterpower, or electricity. It was the first widely distributed mechanical home appliance and has been an important industrial machine.

Have you ever replaced a button when it fell off a favorite shirt? If so, then you have experienced sewing. Sewing is the process of using a needle and thread to connect pieces of fabric or attach them to fabric surfaces. It’s a practical skill used to make or repair clothing. It can also function as a creative outlet. Today sewing is done by hand or on a sewing machine, electric equipment that makes the process quick and efficient. Sewing Machine Showroom in Koyambedu

Besides clothing, sewing is used to make quilts, bed covers made of layers and pieces of fabric and insulated with batting. Quilts can be decorated using several sewing processes, including appliqué, in which small pieces of cloth are sewn onto a fabric backing to form a design. Other sewing methods include embroidery, in which thick colorful threads are used to create designs and images on fabric surfaces.

Sewing isn’t the only textile process that uses needles. A related process called knitting uses two large needles to loop and connect continuous pieces of fibers or yarn to make things like sweaters and scarves. Now, let’s learn about some materials and techniques used in sewing. For the purpose of this lesson, we’ll focus on sewing by hand. get details

The wear of sewing needles is characterized by the changing of the size and shape of the needle, and the displacement of the needle axis relative to the vertical direction. Due to the wear of sewing needles, at high vibrations during the operation of the embroidery machines, there is wrinkling of the material on which the embroidery pattern is applied and breaking of the sewing thread can occur so that the embroidery machine has to be stopped. It is necessary to reposition the sewing needle with 6-10 stitch steps behind the trajectory to follow and the embroidery machine should be restarted. When the embroidering process restart, an overlap of the sewing thread occurs. Therefore, because of the wear of sewing needles defects appear on the embroidery surface of the product, the availability and thus the productivity of embroidery machines decrease, while the manufacturing costs are rising know more

USHA 8801 INDUSTRIAL SEWING MACHINE – vssewing machine

Among the processes for making final products using fibers, the final process can be called a sewing process. The sewing process generally corresponds to the process that requires the most manpower in the production of textile products. The cost of sewing has gradually increased due to the recent rise in labor costs. The automation of the sewing process and the smart factory are expected to be carried out along with the fourth industrial revolution. In order to make the sewing factories smart, it is essential to apply smart sensing technology to the sewing machines. Sewing Machine Showroom in Velachery

Also, sewing Process In order to grasp real-time situation, a system to monitor the status of each machine is needed. This study can be regarded as a part of technology development for automation and unmanned sewing process for final CPS(cyber-physical system) implementation. Three techniques have been developed in the sewing machine modification technology to assist the smarting and sewing process of the sewing machine. Three kinds of developed technology are a bobbin remaining amount detecting technique, stitch length control, and monitoring techniques. As a result of step-by-step technology development to realize CPS finally, it is a partial technology development of automation through some modification of sewing machine. The developed technology is expected to be used as a technology for future smart sewing automation plant construction. Sewing Machine Showroom in Nanganallur

smart factory is a futuristic production paradigm that transforms ICT(Information and communication technology) into a new smart/green/urban production system by integrating the existing traditional industrial production system.[1-2] Industry 4.0 proposed by DFKI, is defined as the 4th industrial revolution based on Internet-of-Things(IoT), cyber-physical systems(CPS), and Internet-of-Services(IoS). [3-6] In the textile industry, the smart factory is a factory based on the CPS that incorporates ICT and IoT technology into the existing production system.[7-8] In order to build a smart factory between textile and apparel streams, the connectivity of the CPS should be strengthened.

Textile stream smart factory CPS implementation can only be done by linking together the ordering system, design automation system, product information management system, production information integration system and production equipment automation.[6] Fig. 2 shows the interlinkage of high-throughput, high-productivity production systems that minimize plant-to-plant collaboration and prototype production to accommodate small-volume and multi-stream requirements between streams, and can be instantly produced on demand. merritt sewing machine price in chennai
